Passenger Information
As you would expect from a premier taxi service, all our vehicles are air-conditioned, clean, and well maintained for your comfort. Every vehicle undergoes regular cleaning and mechanical and physical inspections to ensure the safety and comfort of both our passengers and drivers.
Meeting all relevant NSW Regulations, each vehicle is licensed to seat a certain number of passengers as per below. Under no circumstances will the driver of your taxi exceed these numbers.
24 standard sedans (up to 4 passengers)

2 Wheelchair Accessible Taxis (up to 5 passengers – 1 wheelchair only)
All our vehicles are air conditioned for the comfort of the driver as well as the passengers. If your taxi is too hot or too cold, you have the right to request your driver adjust the temperature. The same applies to the level of the car radio. Should the radio be too loud for your comfort you may request the driver turn it down.
We have cars which carry baby seats for infants up to 12 months or you are able to utilise your own. All vehicles are fitted with multiple anchorage points.
Children under 6 months must be in a suitable and properly fastened/adjusted rear facing restraint. Children 6 months or older but less than 12 months must be in either a rear facing restraint or a forward-facing restraint with in-built harness. These rules are the same for all vehicles.
In taxis, children 12 months or older but under 16 years old must be in an independent seating position either on a booster seat and use a seatbelt that is properly adjusted and fastened or must use a suitable seatbelt that is properly adjusted and fastened.

Orange Taxis understands the importance of showing understanding and respect to passengers with assistance animals. Assistance animals are welcome in all Orange Taxis vehicles and count as 1 passenger.
Refusal to carry an assistance animal by any Driver is against the law.
If requested, you must be able to provide an access card identifying your companion as an assistance animal if requested by the Driver.
